Christopher Stout is an Associate Professor of Political Science. His research interest are racial/ethnic politics in the United States, political behavior, and representation. He is the author and editor of three books including “Bringing Race Back In: Black Politicians, Deracialization and Voting Behavior”, “The Case for Identity Politics”, and “The Politics of Protest: Readings on the Black Lives Matter Movement”. He is currently the Co-President of the Racial/Ethnic Politics Section of the American Political Science Association, associate editor of the journal Politics, Groups, and Identities, and the political behavior editor of the Monkey Cage Blog at the Washington Post.
