In 1973 Brad Bergmann completed a work assignment in Denmark and then embarked on an overland Indiana Jones-style journey on the Marco Polo Trail that took him through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and then on into Nepal. Today, the Marco Polo Trail is no longer safe to travel through, so it is very unlikely that others will go on this journey quite like Brad did. For those who are interested in this part of the world, Brad is able to share his first-hand account through stories and photographic images – daily life in Nepal as it was in this period.
Brad Bergmann was born in San Antonio, Texas, and still lives there today. He has an MBA from Cal State Long Beach. After graduation he worked in international shipping in Denmark before he embarked on an incredible journey through Asia. Since then, he has worked in real estate and finance and has produced photographic documentaries on historic protests, the Silk Road and the mid-East. He has invented, designed and manufactured a high-impact eyeglass case for the ski industry.
